Who am I?

Stefan Matthes long-distance running

My name is Stefan Matthes, I was born in 1987 and currently live in Dresden/Germany. Since 2007 I have been working with computer graphics - when I needed a few 3D-Models for a game that I was writing but proper models were hard to find. The Search led me to a free open source Program called Blender - which has hugely impressed me ever since with its wide variety of functions.

A lot of the required knowledge is self-taught - Learning new applications and thereby new concepts and techniques appeal to me in computer graphics because there is always a new challenge to master.

Why Granite-Skull?

Granite Skull means "Granitschädel" in german - this is how the people in my homeland, the Region Upper Lusatia are called. The term is composed out of the local commonly stone granite and our stubborn reputation. ;-)
